He also specializes in performing severed and complicated congenital heart diseases.After completing his post-graduation, he joined Mary Ann Knight Hospital and a Children Hospital which was affiliated by Harvard Medical School and gained a fellowship degree in Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery. He has been associated with healthcare institutes like Narayana Hrudayalaya, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute & Research Center, and AIIMS and Dr. Sharma was an additional professor at AIIMS, New Delhi with teaching and training responsibilities upto 2001.
