Dr. Sankar Narayanan has done his basic surgical training from SRMC Chennai and further training in minimal access and bariatric surgery from BEST institute, Bengaluru and subsequently completed his specialization in surgical gastroenterology. He was the best outgoing candidate in Mch. Surgical Gastroenterology and also appreciated with the awarded the Prof. S. Sambandam gold medal. He has done the International Visiting Scholars training program at the Division of Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery & Division of Stomach Surgery & Colon and Rectal Surgery, ASAN Medical Centre, Seoul, Korea. His areas of special interest are HPB and minimal access to GI surgeries. He has a fellowship in minimal access surgery from the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeon.
